The fact we have to pretend Pre TS Zoro was fully healthy despite having a doctor literally telling us he'd need 2 years of recovery is pretty telling of how retarded the powerscaling got.

In Saboady, Zoro was already nerfed due to his scar (2 years to recover) and had been heavily injured at Thriller Bark, from which he was still recovering.
Yet he still went on to show feats on par with healthy Luffy and Sanji vs the Pacifista while being heavily nerfed.

Between the last time we see Zoro using Asura in Sabaody and the next time in Wano there are exactly 500 chapters.

Oda really just kept that move in the vault for hundreds of chapters just to bring it back at the most insane moment possible. And it just hits different because it doesn’t feel repetitive at all. It feels like Zoro was literally holding it back the whole time, waiting for that exact fight to go all out.
