@Bartilonius @ThePoiluProject In regards to Germans having more manpower and better weapons and equipment; not really. It was more to do with strategy and how the German army operated. For example, in 1940 French tanks were generally superior but German tanks had better communication systems.

It's clear that Lawrence felt great affection for the boy but that doesn't mean that it was sexual in nature. @nonregemesse If we replace the word “lift” with “wield” then it becomes more acceptable, as long as you account for hyperbole. You could lift it but it was heavy enough that most could not use it effectively.

There are so many examples of metal-scarce tribal societies that produce complex art and clothing.

@nonregemesse If I had to guess and play devil's advocate, I would say that the Trojans' armour was made with the intention to make it look like stone. An idea that they rely so heavily on their walls for protection to a degree that it influences their culture and their armour's appearance.
