@jamesldowns Being under a mental health service feels like I’m studying Law. I’ve never had so many piles of ‘evidence’. Even when you get through the door, it’s a constant battle of proving, fighting your case and no one can focus on recovery in that environment.
We’re trying! Nobody’s listen. @NSFTtweets who’ve been rated inadequate 4x, are incapable of filling the void left by RCRP. They haven’t got the staff or a plan or anyone to lead it. @nandwics allege they have a cunning plan. But the chasm betweentheir vision and reality is vast
@goslee_aaron@M4AExplained Fascinating that it isn’t a delusion of grandeur that psychs have the power to give a subjective opinion which can take away someone’s freedom and force them to take meds by law.
@jamesldowns poor Mental health = bad dental health. Crazy that it’s not more integrated. Especially with nasty antipsychotics and mood stabilisers that rot your teeth. Mine are ruined due to my ocd/phobia. It’s just sadly part and parcel it feels- thanks for sharing-a lot can relate I’m sure
Support for mental health and wellbeing is not the same as treatment for mental illness.
There has been an explosion of awareness about the former and a diversion of attention and resources away from the latter.
Someone can be very mentally unwell AND able to articulate the problem.
Someone can also be very mentally unwell AND able to speak this WITHOUT seeming emotion AND still be at great risk.
If they’re doing extra jobs because they’re paid so bad, I get it, but then you should refund if the food is inedible and treat them better. You also have sh*te customer service and no phone call or online chat @UberEats scammers
@UberEats you’ve refunded £4 and ‘see it as resolved’ yet the screenshots show The food sat for an hour, for an 8 min journey. And driver made 2 stops, one for more than ten mins. The food was stone cold and fast food sitting for an hour is not edible. I tipped as well.
@AlisonLeanneC@Shrink_at_Large I assume non-coop
Would be that it’s purely from staff opinion/practice/attitude on practice and approach and not been informed with feedback and experience by a service user on how to deliver the care.
@Shrink_at_Large Btw - This was NHS, but in a specialist unit (not trauma unit) but this place I guess would receive more funding than acute, which I understand may lead to better morale, services and fairer management? Or maybe just more informed staff even when it’s not their specialty.
@Shrink_at_Large Curiosity, no assumptions, good listening, knowing when to push & a willingness to want to understand more. Also about getting to the root rather than fault / blame on SU to change ‘problem’ behaviour whilst making them feel safe. Made the world of difference in clinical setting
@Shrink_at_Large It’s the perfect way to turn often sexually abused females into silent good girls by teaching them not to be angry or cry but to present with half smiles and willing hands and only blames themselves for what’s happened to them. It’s devastating when you dive deep into it :(
