RLNI FACT: In 1934 Ramsgate town celebrated the 50th. anniversary of its incorporation and was then allowed to add ‘supporters’ to their coat of arms. A lifeboatman and a coastguard were chosen with the lifeboatman being modelled on the then coxswain Thomas Read. #ramsgatetunnels
