Nobody really talks about this, but once you start healing past trauma and your body comes out of “fight or flight” mode, your body will crave a lot of rest and silence. Your body finally starts to feel safe in the peace, quiet and calm. You aren't lazy. Your body is just catching up on all the years it didn't have this stillness. You deserve this.
This year really changed my view of life. My mental health was tested like no other. My understanding of love, friendship, and family shifted deeply, and I don’t think I’ll ever be the same.
Bringing up my past in an attempt to spite me will never work cause I live in my truth. I’m confident in myself, my decisions & my journey regardless of whatever turn it may take.
Against a narcissist, you cannot fight honorably. Don’t try to, just protect yourself. You come first. And forgive yourself for whatever you have to do, or say, to get yourself out of that situation.
You know that is not who you are.
Let them. Let them lie. Let them play the victim. Let them twist the story. Let them talk. Let them believe what they need to. You don’t need to defend your truth to people committed to misunderstanding you. Let them go. Let them learn the hard way. Let them face themselves when the silence is louder than the chaos they created. Protect your peace. Choose your growth. Stand firm in who you are, it will speak louder than anything you could ever say.
Life will humble you, but it will also teach you. The people you expect won’t always show up, and the people you didn’t count on will surprise you. Learn to hold loosely, trust carefully, and pray deeply. In this life, it’s not about how loud you shout; it’s about how well you listen to God’s leading. When He says move, move. When He says stop, stop. Your peace is located where His voice is.
5 REASONS NOT TO QUIT:
1. You’re closer than you think – (Gal. 6:9)
2. Every storm eventually passes – (Ps. 30:5)
3. God’s plan is still working – (Jer. 29:11)
4. Strength grows in hard times – (Isa. 41:10)
5. Your story will inspire others – (Rom. 8:28)
The quickest way to tell how intelligent someone is, is to see how well they can consider someone else's point of view without getting defensive. Curiosity is the best indicator of a sharp mind.
Hardest pill i've had to swallow this year so far was learning that no matter how good you can be to someone, no matter how long you've been there for them, no matter how much you love them.. that they CAN & they WILL turn their back on you & there's nothing you can do but detach
This year forced me to face so many parts of myself and I am left with the realization that you really have to be there for yourself and not expect anyone to understand you.
Took myself out the mix, getting my life together, learning to keep things private. Just trying to accept some situations for what they are! Staying in my lane not bothering anyone. In hopes of no one bothering me. Literally just PROTECTING MY PEACE 🎀
I genuinely believe after a certain age you need to have honest conversations with yourself like, I shouldn’t be drinking this much, I shouldn’t be wasting money like this, I shouldn’t be sleeping around like this, I shouldn’t be eating so unhealthy, I shouldn’t be badmouthing people like this, because you can get away with a lot of unhealthy habits while you are younger but everything eventually catches up with you and there’s always a price to pay, you end up paying for it for the rest of your remaining days on earth. it’s not worth it!
i don't like being around people who lack emotional intelligence and self-regulation. it just irks my soul. if you cannot see things outside of yourself and how you're harming others, you will never evolve. intention has nothing to do with impact
When Lauryn Hill said “it could all be so simple”she wasn't lying. Reciprocity between two people who want something to work is so simple. It's as easy as breathing.
having pattern recognition skills saves you a lot in life, people are true to their pattern’s NOT what they say and you will see it a mile away once you have this skill!
I hate how social media makes us forget that life has stages. It’s normal to be broke, to have broke friends or partners and yes it’s even normal to be unemployed at times. These are phases we all go through.
Some people are lucky enough to find good jobs at a young age and afford a certain lifestyle. Others take longer and that’s perfectly okay. We need to stop comparing ourselves and start accepting our journey. I just want all of us to be at peace with where we are in life while still working and striving for better.
