@TIAOntario (TIAO) wants to hear from you regarding the new Ontario Legislation being passed.

[Tourism Industry Association of Ontario @TIAOntario]

Ontario has announced new regulations that would allow “bring-your-own” alcoholic beverages at certain municipally designated outdoor public events, beginning this spring.

TIAO is currently gathering information to assess the potential impacts of this change on Ontario’s tourism and hospitality sector. We have reached out to the provincial government to seek clarification on how the new permitting framework will work in practice, particularly for festivals, event organizers, restaurants, and licensed establishments that rely on beverage sales to remain viable.

While the intent of the announcement is to support local events and tourism, it is important that any changes are implemented in a way that does not create unintended consequences for operators, community festivals, and small businesses.

We encourage members with questions or concerns to share them with us so they can inform our ongoing discussions with government.
📧 [email protected]

We will provide further updates as more details become available.
