What it does (fully functional, no backend β all mocked) Browse menu with category filters + hover preview (price + add to bag) ,Slide-out cart with live quantity controls Verify with name + email, then review & place order ,Animated "order placed" confirmation (GSAP)
The assets:
I Couldn't find Orente's real product photos anywhere, so I dug through their Facebook history to pull real shots. For the food images, I generated them with ChatGPT.
The buildI built it component by component β Navbar, Hero, Menu, Cart, Checkout, one at a time. Trying to generate everything at once just gives you rubbish. Slow and steady got me a clean, working app.
My main tool:
getskillmd did the heavy lifting. One command pulled in the whole design system , fonts, typography, layout, components:npx@getskillmd/cli add burgerfuel-design
try it out .I also used the prompt getSkillMD gives me as a base, then built my own prompts on top of it
How I built the Orente ordering site β the full story
The inspirationI started on Awwwards looking for clean design. Most sites were way too complex β heavy animations, so I picked a direction I could actually ship clean. Reference was BurgerFuel.
