@its_ms_nale And there I was trying to not look like an authoritative aunt at the M Bash to collect my son 🥲 Next time we going to party at Waimanu Rd luvequ 😘
What a thing of beauty! Remember saraga before when Marist would win the Cokes and my QVS/RKS/Lelean OB cousins would be like;
"Io set. Na Cokes ga qori. Waraka ga na qito ni tagane." Even at the games the students would cheer; "WARAKA GA NA DEANS! WARAKA GA NA DEANS!" Io qo? 🤣
Also did anyone notice, at the end of the games. As the overall winners were announced, the young men of Kaunikuila showed pure class!! Half the squad marched up to get the main prize and the other half simply took a knee and clapped while waiting for their brothers to return to the line 👌🏾👏🏾

🔴Haggai Sukanaivalu🔵
Follow this young man in the next 3 - 4 years of the Coca Cola games. A humble, talented lad with leadership qualities. (He was Headboy of MBPS 2022)
I have watched Haggai run since he first started representing Marist Brothers Primary School and Suva 1, at Zones, and Chow Games. However, this post is not to only congratulate him for winning medals at his first Coke games, but to thank him for the little things he has done behind the scenes with his mom for the SJSS family.
Yesterday, as I watched him join his band of brothers walk up to the podium to collect their winnings, he proudly held our SJSS flag in his Marist attire. Many will happily echo "Oh! Sister school, Brother school ." Others, a negative review.
I felt a trickle of emotions because I've seen Haggai stand beside his mom, year in and year out helping her organize events for the SJSS alumnae. Proud is an understatement.
From pushing tables and chairs, serving for the Alumnae Eucharistic Mass, holding files, serving juice, cakes, running errands. etc...you name it...Haggai was there.
I'm sure Haggai has attended more SJSS alumnae functions than some of the ex scholars themselves.
Haggai was not showing off our flag, I believe he did that to honor his mother and to represent the many SJSS "aunties" he has encountered over the years.
For me, Haggai portrays the 5 Marist Pillars of: Family Spirit, Love of Work, In the Way of Mary, Presence and Simplicity.
The Coca Cola games has ended. Right now he will still be soaking in the win with his family and friends.
But truth be told, if his mother is organizing something for SJSS with the alumnae tomorrow, Haggai will be right there beside her.
Vinakwa Haggai. Vinakwa Mr and Mrs Sukanaivalu for raising a fine gentleman. #Fiji #TeamFiji
