French actress Adèle Haenel used an appearance on French television programme La Grande Librairie to break what she described as the media silence surrounding Palestine.
Despite saying she was afraid to speak words that expose a reality “everyone knows but is not supposed to name”, Haenel stated: “The State of Israel is committing a genocide in Palestine, and France is complicit.”
She went on to call for sanctions against Israel and the liberation of Palestine using a major television platform to demand that Palestinian suffering and the reality of the occupation can no longer be ignored.

Subtrama do Gorila Grodd:
at least once a week I think about the time Amy Poehler convinced her fellow Emmy nominees to pretend they were in a beauty pageant when their names were called, and every celeb in the audience went wildddd
their names were supposed to be announced alphabetically, but Edie Falco was too nervous to go first, so Amy took the lead. Tina Fey had a baby 12 days beforehand and said she was "just happy to be out, wearing a pad on every part of my body."
Rob Lowe improvised a line about how "everyone was a winner," and then he crowned Melissa McCarthy with her first Emmy (and a literal tiara), to which she said, "Wow, it's my first and best pageant ever!" award shows in 2011 were so fun lol
John Malkovich has pulled out of a performance of “The Music Critic” set to take place in Tel Aviv, Israel after a press release falsely attributed quotes to the actor.
“I was made aware of an article which appeared in The Hollywood Reporter (first published in The Jerusalem Post) announcing a date in Tel Aviv, Israel, for a performance of a piece called ‘The Music Critic,’ one of the numerous classical music collaborations and live theatre performances I have been touring in for nearly two decades and which I have performed in 47 countries at last count. The Tel Aviv date was meant to be one of several touring stops throughout Europe and the Middle East,” Malkovich said in a statement.
He continued: “A PR company hired by the Israeli promoter drafted a quote for the article that was attributed to me, though I never made the statements that were quoted, nor was I consulted before they were printed. I did not utter these phrases, and they most certainly are not approved by me, nor do they reflect my feelings. The fact that they were printed as direct quotes from me is unacceptable and untenable. For this reason, I have decided I cannot participate in the Tel Aviv performance.”
