Just experienced an absolutely regenerative and wholesome blessing ceremony led by a local Hawaiian wherein we shared our collective water stories and intentions for @theAAG meeting, which officially commences tomorrow.💧💦 🌊 #aag2024
No longer drinking? There are options for you
“These days, I think there are plenty of people, who do not have those strong countervailing reasons to not drink, that are choosing not to drink,” said Colleen Myles (@fermentedlands), #TXST associate prof. https://t.co/YN9D0pZ6Yt
In a week (4/10 at 12 eastern) I'll be giving a talk in the

Check out this article by @dallaswinechick about the "sustainability in Texas wine" work I have been doing, which features commentary from me and one of my community collaborators, Dr. Julie Kuhlken of @PedernalesWine. 🤩🤓 @txst @txstgeo

There are ~10 days left to apply to our 2024 "Geography of Food and Ag + Food Ethics" @txstedabroad program to Tuscany & Umbria, Italy with the @umbrapg Institute! The link to the online brochure is in the comments. @txst folks, check it out! #txst#studyabroad
Sadly, we are not able to make it to the @txst bowl game in person. Where is local watch party? Who is hanging where in #smtx to feel the Bobcat team spirit??

Me and my 4yo riding around on our new ride on this gorgeous, sunny Christmas Eve day and she pipes up: “It’s a sunny day today, but it is going to snow ❄️ tomorrow because it’s Christmas! 🎄”
After a long series of problems that ultimately led to a cracked frame, the original (e-)bike had to go. 😢 However, we have now been re-fitted with a @Benno Bike 🚲 by Galaxy Bicycles, and so far so good—even though our inaugural ride was in the rain 🌧️ ! She loves to ride!! 🤩
The biennial Perugia Food Conference (2024), where I will (fingers crossed) be presenting, "Kings and queens: Sagrantino and Sangiovese in and out of place in Italy and beyond." See you there? https://t.co/6YnWVRP79H #food#geography@umbrainstitute
I applied for one small and two large (by my standards) grants/awards this round. I did not get either of the large ones, but I *did* get the small one. So, I'll take the win and dust myself off to try again next time for the others. Onwards and upwards!
What Does Equity In (Fine) Wine Look Like?
Colleen C. Myles (@fermentedlands), an assoc. prof. in #TXST’s Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, writes that equity may be hard to achieve in a space designed to create distinction and difference https://t.co/PGv2hvgDOe
