@samhalvorsen I've used Cool Edit Pro and Express Scribe in the past. Haven't needed them for a while but both had a decent free version a few years ago.

@2s112709 @TotaGualion @kazukazu881 @guardian it seems unsustainable and contradictory to fund doctors' and nurses' (deserved) pay rises by raising immigration fees disproportionately more than other sources of NHS income, esp when the same gov is actively discouraging immigration. Am I missing something here?

@2s112709 @TotaGualion @kazukazu881 @guardian Okay, though that same aged British person would have already benefitted from the NHS by that point surely? Also, are NI contributions (and the other taxes that fund the NHS as you point out) also going up by nearly 100% like immigration fees?

2) ridiculous argument, immigrants are paying £624/year (soon £1000+) whether they use the NHS or not, on top of NI, and possibly on top of private healthcare

@TotaGualion @kazukazu881 @guardian You may not be aware of this (and the government takes advantage of this kind of ignorance), but immigrants pay twice for healthcare by the broken NHS: once through the IHS they're increasing, then again through National Insurance payments and other taxes like everyone else in UK

@nadinafornara Viajando por El Chaltén, yo quilmeña y él inglés. Después de 5 días en el mismo hostel quedamos flechados pero pensé que no lo volvía a ver. Más de 1 año de relación a distancia después, me terminé mudando a Inglaterra en 2020. Esta semana estamos con presentación de suegros! 😬
