Call me Mr. Worldwide...Tax Strategist — and right now, I'm watching the World Cup live in California. 🌍⚽
But here's the thing: even on vacation, my mind never stops working across borders.
As an international tax strategist CPA, I help high-net-worth individuals and global
businesses navigate the complexities of cross-border taxation — so they keep more of what they earn, no matter where in the world they operate.
Whether you're a founder expanding internationally, an expat managing foreign income, or a business with entities across multiple
@uptonaccounting Because we are dumb enough to take the meetings. Dr's know
their worth and understand supply and demand. They don't take the call which will lead to them working an extra late night or extra weekends. Yes they may loose a patient but there are many more to take there place.
@uptonaccounting Hang in there. it's tough sometimes trying to do everything. Your "job" changed all of a sudden and take's time to adjust. We want to default to delivering the pieces of paper but know that clients also hired you for everything you listed, not just the pieces of paper they sign.😀
@uptonaccounting I used to get frustrated.I now know that as you grow in this profession, what you described above is now our job. Clients need: to meet, need to talk, send emails, get notices and that's what they need you for.We are stuck in wanting our old routine, but it suddenly changed on us

@LoganGrafTax Just by reading the replies you can dissect everything that is wrong with public accounting.Firm owners where too busy to work on improving their firm, practices, processes and industry and it shows.Hence why we are facing most of the challenges that are plaguing this profession.
@MikeSyl36625988 Why do we allow clients to tell us, the experts, what's "simple" or "straightforward". I now respond "I'll be the judge of that" when a client wants to tell me something is "simple". Can't imagine going to my dentist and saying, "this is a simple cavity to fix, so charge less".
Tax Professionals need to wake up and smell the☕️. Everything plaguing our industry will not magically go away or change. The profession hasn’t evolved in 20+,30+ years. Our whole process, how we serve our clients and how we do business has to change. #TaxTwitter
