I keep being asked what I make of the UFO thing in Congress yesterday, so here it is: I watched a few clips and saw some people who seemed to believe stuff saying extraordinary things without presenting extraordinary evidence. Therefore I have nothing more to say, other than: It would be great if true - it would take a bit of the pressure off our civilisation if we weren’t the only means within the Milky Way by which the Universe understands itself. Sadly, as of today, I still feel that pressure, so can we perhaps focus on not messing our world up rather than hoping that, to paraphrase Sagan, someone will float down to save us from ourselves.

Only had it once, two hours from landing into Osaka, but it was out of nowhere and the seatbelt sign wasn’t on at the time. I was actually in a crew rest bunk bed at the time but still had my seatbelt on. No different to being in your car imo!

@fernmillroy used to be cabin crew for Emirates and always goes on about keeping your seatbelt fastened during the flight. This is why. Sometimes turbulence is unexpected and can slam you against the roof of the plane! 😱

Why do people who could use an escalator, queue for lifts? I have never understood this. People with disabilities and pushchairs should have priority. Or am I wrong? One of life’s mysteries that bothers me all the time. Escalators are things I didn’t appreciate until I had kids.

@emirates why do you only have the bassinet on the wall for infants? It has max 18kg and our daughter weighs 9kg but we were told she was too big for it. @British_Airways have a seat unit or the bassinet (pic attached).
