If Returnal was too hard and you’re unsure whether you can finish Saros, here’s the clear answer.
Yes, you will probably finish Saros.
After the second boss, you unlock modifiers that let you adjust the difficulty. You can pick things like dealing more damage or taking less damage, as long as you stay above the minimum limit the game allows.
The first two bosses aren’t on Returnal’s level, and with a bit of practice most players get through them. Once modifiers unlock, you can tune the game to your comfort level and actually finish it.
I’ve platinumed Returnal myself, and honestly I think Saros handled this perfectly. It keeps both sides happy: the players who want a real challenge and the ones who just want to reach the end :P

But #Saros is better than the already incredible Returnal to me.
What Saros feels like is a maturing of a phenomenal idea.
Saros is to Returnal what Dark Souls is to Demon's Souls.
Łukasz interviewed me. The topic was my whole career, so it's a very long interview. Lots of interesting tech tidbits inside, and some big company politics too.
