We're breaking down six core momentum trades behind familiar strategy names so you can identify what price is actually doing, put it in context and know what needs to happen before you enter.

@MikeBellafiore@MaxGanik You guys makes me so jealous of your firm and learning culture. In a place like Spain we don't have any sort of prop-firm or even trading habits. It's so difficult to find people worth working with. Keep goin', that's insane!
You could be the best trader on earth, and if what you're trading is moving like garbage, you're still fighting an uphill battle.
That's why in slow, choppy conditions the fix isn't more effort. It's more selectivity: go multi-market to find cleaner opportunities, drop to a shorter timeframe if that's your style, or if you're already up on the day, shut it down before the chop gives it back.
Mike Bellafiore says you're only as good as the stock you're trading. The same goes for any market.

Imagine taking one trade at a time and focusing on performing each step of the trading process flawlessly. Just as an artist doesn't focus on how much a painting will sell for, a developing trader doesn't focus on P/L. https://t.co/kc5aFCHUbN
If you haven't read "Thinking In Bets" by @AnnieDuke, buy it today (just buy the damn printed book).
@TheOneLanceB reminded me of this from page 62: "Being smart makes it worse." Bad news for those of us who (perhaps delusionally) fancy ourselves smart.

Here's the first in a series of posts teaching developing traders evidence-based techniques for mastering trading psychology. If the interest is there, I will begin free monthly webinars to help traders apply these methods to their specific challenges: https://t.co/kc5aFCHUbN

El punto en común es
«No mola» «Es pesado»
«Nadie quiere hacerlo»
⠀
Pero el negocio funciona al revés.
⠀
Poca competencia × Hay gente que quiere resolverlo ya
× Alta urgencia
⠀
Cuanto más se cumplan estos tres puntos, más fácil es ganar dinero.

La estructura para que ese negocio no te cueste el 47% en impuestos está ↓
🚨🚨🚨"I continue to find that the single greatest mistake that developing traders make is focusing on their mistakes and losses and not clearly identifying and studying what they do right." 👇✍️👊
Miro mi cuenta y aparecen 3.000€ que no son míos.
5 minutos después me llama un número desconocido.
Hombre: «Perdona, me he equivocado haciendo una transferencia.»
Hombre: «Te he enviado 3.000€ por error. ¿Puedes devolvérmelos ahora mismo?»
Yo: «Claro. Habla con tu banco y solicita la recuperación de la transferencia.»
Hombre: «Eh… no. Mejor hazme tú una transferencia y acabamos antes.»
Yo: «………………»

Becoming a winning trader is not about eliminating losing. It is about using losses as information that sets up subsequent wins. Good traders are tolerant of loss; great traders embrace the lessons within their losses: https://t.co/8OVfkNysJo @MikeBellafiore
“The important thing is curiosity first. I want curious people. People that ask questions, that want to figure things out, figure out new ways to do things. That’s the most important thing.”
Kobe sounds like @steenbab, sharing one of the qualities of elite traders.
Want to know what actually separates a trader who gets completely wiped out by a brutal market drawdown from an 8-figure inspiring trader?
Hint: It isn’t that the superstar never loses, never feels the sting of a losing streak. They lose. It hurts. Frankly, it sucks. It’s that they use their worst drawdowns as a catalyst to rebuild their process and improve their edge.
@MaxGanik is currently heading toward his second consecutive 8-figure year. He sits on the top trading team at SMB Capital—a group that pulled in ~$50M in trading profits in 2025 and serve as an inspiring role model for what collaboration can do for your P&L. Max is easily one of the best active discretionary traders in the game today, and yet, still pushing to get better.
At the SMB Annual Event, Max pulled back the curtain on "The Drawdown That Completely Changed How I Trade." He walked our community through the painful 2022 bear-market slump and a painful personal drawdown that fueled him to reinvent his entire approach:
Respect Market Shifts (Dynamic Playbooks): The market changes fast—often by the month. You cannot trade a dead, mid-range tape with the exact same PlayBook and aggression that worked in an explosive momentum market. When relative volume drops and ranges contract, your edge drops with it. Top traders recognize that environment quickly and pump the brakes.
Systematize Your Setup Grading: Max evolved from relying purely on intuition to building a rigorous, structured grading system. When you define your A+ trades with absolute clarity, your equity curves improves dramatically.
Treat Each Strategy Like a Separate Business: Max doesn't use a lazy, blanket risk number across the board. His swing trades, mean-reversion ideas, intraday scalps, and small-cap setups are completely distinct businesses with their own custom risk parameters and sizing.
Protect Your Mindset Like Capital: Warning! Warning! Warning! Your trading psychology is an asset that must be protected. Taking undisciplined, sloppy losses in dead conditions ruins your mental capital, sabotaging your confidence when the next genuine A+ opportunity finally hits your screen.
Earn the Right to Scale A+ Risk: Sizing up is earned. By strictly categorizing setups, executing your PlayBook with discipline, and letting winning trades expand your mental comfort zone, you build the foundation to scale risk safely from $300k to $500k+ on your highest-conviction ideas.
Trading can be an unforgiving sport. The market will pummel your poor decision-making, and your past winning PlayBooks will fail you at times. But your ultimate ceiling is never defined by a bad streak—it is defined by your willingness to adapt, decode underperformance, surround yourself with awesome and curious teammates, and relentlessly refine your process and edge.

The Drawdown That Completely Changed How I Trade https://t.co/OaOY6RA3uz via @YouTube
“Traders need 2 levels of belief.
On the level of one trade, you have to firmly believe that anything could happen.
On the level of 30 trades, you have to believe with every core of your being, that your edge will work out. And that’s difficult.
All of us understand probability at an intellectual level, but understanding probability at a stomach level is quite something.”
I think many traders wonder when does the job finally get easy? What level of skill will it take to no longer have to work so hard and struggle?
A lot of this is the arrival fallacy. As I explain in this video, trading doesn’t get easy and I’m not sure it’s supposed to.
