I love this time of year for the bounty on the poly tunnel. Over wintered bolting spinach, some rogue kale and a growing ground cover of chickweed have inspired me to get my juicer out.
After a year of abandoning the garden for frolicking around elsewhere, it’s nice to have the time to give it some tlc.
Buddha is happy with his new spot and the self sown poached egg plants I have surrounded him with.
First time I've ever got to hug a tree from the inside. I could even stand up in there ( and if you look very closely at the bottom of the pic you can see me emerging from my tree cave).
@MadsMcKeever I grow tall Utah. Never needed to Earth or Blanche them. Seems to grow ok for me both in the tunnel and outdoors. I only grow a small amount but it does well enough for me.
Can't resist the temptation of a little sit down on the swing seat in the tunnel. The cat is enticing me to join her. Resistance is futile 😉#SelfEmploymentPerks#CatsOfTwitter#sunshine
@WildCottage The verbena self seed all over the place, I usually have more than I know what to do with and have to weed some out (if you're ever in County Leitrim I'll happily give you some).
@WildCottage Yes it sure is. Even hotter in the polytunnel where I was moving some straw into ( had to have a little nap on the straw once in situ - couldn't resist).
The sun it shines and the garden calls. While yesterday was a great day for ducks today is a great outdoor day for the gardener. I'm off out to play in the sun 😊
