(2018) Jeff Van Gundy on LeBron during Game 7 of the Cavs/Celtics ECF:
“No one person has ever shouldered more and gotten his team to the Finals... He'll never have a greater achievement...” 💯
I still don’t think people fully understand what we’re witnessing with LeBron. The naysayers say these are “longevity achievements,” but the problem with that is: he’s not the 50th best player in the NBA just stacking up bad stats. You don’t earn these accolades that way. This is a 25/8/9 on 52/40/77 splits guy who is breaking records & winning awards as a Top 5 Player, at 40 years-old.
When you’re the only one to achieve these things out of everyone who played 20+ years, while also being in “Best In The World” discussions, how long you’ve played is no longer a factor.
