Last week we successfully defended our @helmholtz_de "SEA-ReCap" capacity building project. We received two more years to continue the collaboration between @HereonHelmholtz and #IOBAS in #Bulgaria, developing coastal research in the North and Black Seas.
@HereonHelmholtz represents the Elbe Estuary-North Sea Site in this project kicking off today with a number of services. In the Coastal Productivity group, we manage the FerryBoxes at Tesperhude and Cuxhaven along the Elbe River.
Kicking off today, AQUARIUS is a 45 partner, €14.5m @Horizon EU project integrating 57 leading research infrastructures and offering transnational access to marine and freshwater researchers in the EU.

We would like to share with you the Oostende Declaration in which the 100+ ocean experts and stakeholders call for concerted international and intergovernmental efforts to create a robust, resilient and sustainable surface ocean carbon observing system. https://t.co/zlGIVGjLzW
New paper alert 🚨! @Louise20380098's Biogesciences article is now peer reviewed and accepted. "Recent inorganic carbon increase in a temperate estuary driven by water quality improvement and enhanced by droughts" https://t.co/ttKp4zRtIK
🔬Exciting news from the @MinkeProject ! 🌐In collaboration with WP9.1 & 9.2, an Inter Laboratory Comparison exercise is taking place in Marseille from Nov 13th to 17th.🗓️A fantastic opportunity for knowledge exchange and advancement in our shared scientific endeavors!🌍
Sustainability of #oceanobserving system is key to support sustained services & we need to keep track of the state of the observing system - let’s learn from each other & co-design the observing system together, stresses Karina von Schuckmann @MercatorOcean at #EuroSea Symposium
