Went down a rabbit hole this week on France and Shopify POS. So much opportunity for @OpenFiskal to help merchants in France 🇫🇷. Needed to pull myself together and not flip our roadmap immediately.
Germany’s enjoying great weather as we head into the weekend! Coffee shops on @OpenFiskal are buzzing, and transactions are jumping. A coffee with a fiscalized receipt? Tastes twice as good. ☕
Just tested Shopify’s Query capabilities under the Analytics section, and wow, it’s powerful. I was able to build a report for a merchant that, in the past, would probably have required hiring a freelancer to create.
One of my favorite things at @OpenFiskal :
After a merchant’s first day, I usually send them a personal email confirming that every transaction was digitally signed. ✅
I even attach a screenshot from our back office tool that detects unsigned receipts.
They can check this in the app, but I still do it.
Because compliance should feel simple. Because trust is built on proof. And because being approachable is just the right thing to do.
@blanklob@Shopify I already wondered, if we should support this for our own receipts at @OpenFiskal. I assume you’re primarily looking for printed receipts?
When will email apps finally remind users to keep CC recipients in the loop? The number of times I have to forward emails because nobody clicks reply all is getting out of hand.
@MattiSchroder@blanklob@Shopify Totally agree. If your printer supports LAN or WiFi, then I’d definitely recommend choosing that. Game changer when it comes to reliability.
So true. And unfortunately often laws are phrased in such a way that merchants believe they have to provide a physical receipt.
And I’m so down on developing some beautiful and easy to use hardware. I don’t think printing goes anywhere soon. To merchants receipts are their business card.
Not a fan of the first week of January as an entrepreneur. Too quiet, too slow, and I’ve seen enough out-of-office emails. Can’t wait for everyone to be back and to kick off the year!
