I regularly get asked, “Why two identical checking accounts at the same bank?” (I also do this for my businesses)

Answer: FRAUD. Fraudulent charges may cause you to cancel the associated card or limit access to the account. Backup account gives immediate access to vital funds.

Card was immediately cancelled and claims are reversing all charges. HOWEVER, all upcoming charges must be immediately diverted.

And swoop comes the back up account where I can easily transfer/access funds and instant debit card access.
