This is a perfect example of the limiting belief I was referring to
The thought of a company in 50 countries starting in Nigeria is so out-of-this-world for the average Nigerian
Adolf Hitler shot himself the moment he knew he couldn't win his war. The Boys has several issues writing wise but they portrayed what happens when a narcissist loses all power pretty well.
The humiliation of the villain is a sign of sadism from the culture that savors it.
Homelander is truly a villain but he was used to pain and suffering and was filled with rage. He would not have begged and pleaded for life. The show's portrayal is utterly inconsistent with how people like him behave.
It's a sadistic fantasy that betrays the sadistic convictions of the writers. They sought to humiliate the villain, but Homelander isn't real and they are. Ironically, in the end, it is the showrunners themselves who end up being the show's true villains.
This video reminds me of my first time in a psych unit rotation back in pharmacy school.
Old guy’s hands and feet were chained to the bed because he was dangerous af.
Turns out he was a schizophrenic police officer who had shot someone once before while having an episode.
His neighbors had taken him to church for deliverance and when he got calmer, they just returned him to his duty post.
It was only after he almost shot someone again in a fit of rage that he was finally taken to a hospital.
Some of these guys are just mentally ill.
“Any day I’m on duty as a Nigerian police officer, let anyone record me. That person will provide the officer who gave them the order to be filming us, because I will clear everybody down"
– Man suspected to be a personnel says
I don’t believe we speak up to 500 languages in Nigeria. Different dialects ?, yes. But over 500 languages is total cap.
All the South western states speak Yoruba, diffferent variations ,yh but I doubt there’s no where a Yoruba person will go in southwest and not be able to communicate asides some parts of ondo that speak ijaw or the egun speaking communities in ogun state and Lagos & I’m sure this probably applies to people from the south east too.
My former security guy in abk is from borno (north east), he said they speak a language called “shuwa Arabic” but he communicates well with another bikeman from sokoto. (North west) so where did the over 500 languages come from.
