This weekend, we officially unveiled the Rada Safi Campaign, a bold national awareness initiative designed to spark an important conversation about one of Kenya's greatest environmental challenges: how we manage our waste. At the heart of the campaign is a simple but powerful truth: waste is not the problem, how we dispose of it is. When waste is properly segregated and managed, it becomes a valuable resource that can be recycled, recovered, and transformed into new products, creating jobs, supporting livelihoods, and driving Kenya's circular economy. But when it is littered or improperly disposed of, it pollutes our environment, blocks our drainage systems, and undermines the health and wellbeing of our communities. The now-viral billboard was created to challenge us to pause, reflect, and ask ourselves a difficult question: What role do I play in the waste I see around me? Real change begins with everyday choices. Every bottle placed in the right bin, every piece of packaging recycled, and every responsible action taken brings us one step closer to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Kenya. We extend our sincere appreciation to all our partners, stakeholders, and every Kenyan who has joined us in amplifying this message.
