Hello Joe Rogan — Over $40 million is flown to Afghanistan weekly. This has been going on since the Taliban’s takeover during the Biden Administration. Pallets of U.S. cash are flown by chartered jets into Afghanistan. It’s then auctioned by the Taliban’s Central Bank and converted into Afghani currency.

The converted cash is then distributed to local and international NGOs. All NGOs operating in Afghanistan are licensed by the Taliban. They pay taxes and fees to the Taliban. Their employees are vetted by the Taliban’s intelligence. The NGOs purchase goods and services only from a list of pre-approved Taliban businesses.

Areas with Taliban supporters receive multiple rounds of aid, while the anti-Taliban communities get little to none. We have even documented multiple cases of U.S. cash and aid reaching the families of Taliban fighters and suicide bombers.

We exposed the cash shipments to the Taliban with the help of @ShawnRyan762. It led to the No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act introduced by @RepTimBurchett. This legislation passed the House on June 23, 2025, and almost a year later, the U.S. Senate and Senator @JohnThune have still not voted on it.

Our legislation (H.R. 260) will make it mandatory to report all cash shipments to Afghanistan and then defund the Taliban. They are a terrorist group. They don’t deserve a penny.

Earlier this year, after the new administration took office, the Taliban openly expressed concern in a meeting that Congress would defund them. The State Department literally assured them not to worry that if Congress cut the funding, they would just send the Taliban the funds by routing it through the World Bank as cover.

We are heading into a direct confrontation with corruption inside our own government, and we are not backing down. These officials are knowingly financing a pipeline of future terrorist attacks against Americans, prioritizing backroom deals over U.S. national security.

I’ve seen the threat picture, and it’s ominous.
We cannot, in an age of both advanced tactical and digital threats, allow sworn enemies of the United States to set up playgrounds in our backyard. It will not end well if we do.
This isn’t the Roaring Twenties any more. Although the economy is roaring, the threats are expanding too, and distance buys us time. That evaporates in our own backyard. This should not be a partisan issue.

One of the government officials who orchestrated cash payments to the Taliban now works as a staffer on the very Senate committee set to discuss the bill to defund the Taliban on January 29. His name is Tom West.

Get ready for opposition. Hold the line. They will deny sending money to the Taliban. They’ll say the money goes to the NGOs. They’ll say the money is for hungry women and children. They will be lying. They are funding the Taliban.

They’ll say cash was sent to technocrats at the Central Bank of Afghanistan. They will never tell you that the Central Bank is run by a terrorist who is still sanctioned by the United States government for financing IED attacks against our soldiers.

It shouldn’t even have to go to a vote. The government is funding terrorism. What would the government have done if a citizen was donating to a terrorist organization?
We’d be in prison.
