Feel free to spend a few minutes reading my first written content surrounding the Patriots, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
The Unintended Consequences of Perfection: Why "Superbowl or Bust" is unfair to the 2025 Patriots (But Inevitable) https://t.co/EGn6gAqm90
@jacksettleman@IcyVert Also MAX 8 points scored per possession (pos) in football and MAX 3 points scored per pos in basketball. Football teams get an average 10-12 pos per game, whereas in basketball you’re getting 98-100 pos per game. Nearly 10x scoring opportunity despite only 2.3x scoring multiplier
@jacksettleman@IcyVert Couple of counter-arguments:
Stakes- Knicks were up 2-1 in the series, ring was not immediately on the line like in the SB
Frequency of comebacks- 9 TOTAL 25 point comebacks in the NFL (4 since ‘00), north of 40 occurrences in the NBA
Time- SB down 25 until 2min left in the 3rd
TLDR; IF Diggs joins back on the team, I don't think his role from last year will be much different (~100 targets), I feel we'll see more of a natural combination of the Hollins+Boutte role for AJB and an increase in overall pass volume from Maye as a result of the additions.
6/6
I've been thinking about this a lot the last couple of days and my conclusion is that our offense this year is going to resemble something similar to the 2024 Bengals-
~27-28% Trgt Share to WR1 - AJB
~16-17% to WR2 - Diggs
~9-10% to WR3 - Boutte
My thoughts below.. 1/x
#Patriots WR AJ Brown passed his physical this morning and will practice with the team for the first time today, per HC Mike Vrabel.
Less than 24 hours after being traded, Brown will begin acclimating with the team.
@HomeGoodsMGMT@That_Hurts Same as your last SB MVP QB? Almost like that single identifier means nothing. Last SB MVP just got walked out the building in FA
