Dear Students,
Your intelligence cannot be measured by a number. Your intelligence is defined by your willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You are more than a number. You are a brilliant person with unique ideas. Share them!
Sincerely,
Your Teachers ❤️
What a fabulous #FamilyFitNight we had virtually. I don’t know a better way to say “thank you” @FFMcGinnCES Keep doing great things 💫❤️💪🏾 we may be on lockdown but we’re not on shut down. We will come out stronger. Keep that body moving 🙏🏾👍🏽😄✌🏾
When we empower students to find their own strategies and supports we allow them to be their own advocates for mental health and overall well being @FFMcGinnCES great job 👏🏾 now spread your wisdom to all those around you. 👍🏽 💫
Students created their own virtual calming rooms filled with an abundance of links that connect them to calming activities, music, books, songs, yoga, etc. that they personally enjoy and can turn to when needing a mental health break. @FFMfit@FFMcGinnCES@YCDSB_MH
A5. Creative ways we can support children's celebration of Valentine's Day this year, might be:

Learning about mental health & talking about our emotions, students used elements of line, design and colour to depict how each emotion makes them feel on their wheel of emotions. @FFMfit@FFMcGinnCES@YCDSB_MH
Winter is not a season, it’s a celebration! Celebrate Winter Health and Fitness Week! If you're able, get out and #skate outside this weekend. Check out these tips to make it a super fun experience: https://t.co/N2skQYn20B #WinterActive2021#EmbraceWinter#ILoveWinter@NHFDcan
A super easy, fun #activity is the 'Crab Walk!' Show your kids or students how to walk like a crab. This activity develops #coordination, #balance, and strength as kids try to imitate the movements! Find this, plus loads more activities, here: https://t.co/k5h5QByO4y
The bravery and resilience we've seen in kids in #YorkRegion throughout #COVID19 has been inspiring. Now we want them to share how they are staying safe at home and what that means to them - through art, posting pics using #StayHomeYR. Details: https://t.co/GDaTNtepHa #SpiritofYR
We had a calming afternoon! Our favourites were creating calming jars, making stress balls (for ourselves and our family), trying puffy paint, writing happy notes and colouring! @FFMcGinnCES@YCDSB_MH#BellLetsTalk
