I now have 2 Mastodon accounts. Some lovely engineering, data science and visualisation community folk jumped on this one: https://t.co/3Yge78kMa7

Just seen the most egregious #darkpattern UX design in a long time, trying to book on ticketmaster. It sets as default a "collectors ticket" - a bit of "commemorative" plastic that they post to you. Took me 10 minutes to figure out how to buy a ticket without the plastic.
If all these protestors are my neighbours, why are they getting off of private buses en masse?
Stop claiming to speak for us actual residents, you’re the ones who need to go home.

When you download your Twitter archive as a ZIP, the data only gives your follower/following as user IDs, which are tied to Twitter servers, and could be lost.
I wrote a Node.js script that converts these IDs to actual account details like username, bio:

@TimForde That scene almost went to Hitchhiker’s level of comedy, but they pulled it off- really enjoyable. Liked the gobbledegook mixed in and the character who just made grunts. I found the season leggy in parts but the production design, cinematography etc were great.
