So much this. I remember rewarding these exact same takes when OnLive was released, and watching it fail spectacularly. Not because it was a bad idea, but because the internet infrastructure to support it just isn't there, even today.
Stadia is conceptually exciting, and I guess it being backed by Google lends it some clout, but I've been burned so many times by cloud streaming gaming already that I'll be skeptical up until I actually get to play it in my own home on my own internet.
@Futterish I feel like it will still just kick you into uPlay to launch it, though. Just like other Ubi games did on Steam. If not, that would be massive news.
