@V0MITC0FFIN_@ANS8305 is incest, between biological siblings, that have met after they became adults morally permissible to you? or would you compare it to far-fetched abstract logical possibilities like pudding and spaghetti?
@V0MITC0FFIN_ I really hate myself doing that and naming fallacies like a retard but that's a textbook case of no true scotsman isn't it?
"Incest is always abusive"
"two gay siblings kissed and had oral sex"
"No they don't count!"
@V0MITC0FFIN_ which premise you're refuting?
and which premise would entail a very-impossible world scenario that is compared to world made of pudding and spaghetti monster which are merely logical abstract possibilities that have no sort of realness outside our observable world
@V0MITC0FFIN_ what are the foundations of my argument that you're attacking?
P1: A consensual sexual act between two adults who avoid harm is permissible
P2: the siblings's act is consensual and make sure to avoid harmful consequences
C: the siblings' act is morally permissible
@V0MITC0FFIN_ -regardless of whether the other 99 scenarios that do are morally wrong
also you literally agree with me that it's morally permissible if the problems that are often associated with incest didn't exist (and that could be the case)
@V0MITC0FFIN_ my original scenario didn't specify that they lived together either, you haven't explained to me how incest that doesn't have abuse in its definition is abusive.
What do I gain from it? I'd gain that people can't morally condemn this specific scenario that involves incest-
@V0MITC0FFIN_ istg I've never interacted with someone lacking this much critical thinking than you
I even brought up an example of a case like this happening in real life yet you still compare it to pudding and spaghetti, please learn the difference between normological and logical possibility
@V0MITC0FFIN_ why do you genuinely compare a scenario that has an actual likelihood of happening to a scenario that is merely imaginary? two real adult siblings who haven't grown together could eb sexually attracted to one another and that'd still be an incest. How dumb have you got to be?
@ANS8305@V0MITC0FFIN_ explain how am I moving the goalpost? isn't incest in its generalized sense basically sexual/romantic relationships between blood-relatives?
@tsugikun_ these studies are only pointing to incest that had power dynamics in it
but it's really practically possible to imagine a scenario where both are adults and no abuse towards one another exists even if there's some sort of mild mental illness
@tsugikun_ my apologies it's on me I presented a case where there were pedophilia so you couldn't simply say that it was consensual
but my point holds still, there could be a scenario where they didn't live with each other yet they end up being sexually attracted to one another
I unironically believe that no one could actually condemn this without either appealing to their "eww"ness (basically appealing to their sense of disgust which has minimum to no value) or to divine command theory in which case the burden of proof would be on them to establish it
@tsugikun_ here's a case where incest genuinely happened consensually, even though they didn't use condoms/pills and made kids which is harmful and immoral but it shows that abuse isn't actually inherent
