20% Done, But I Still Need Your Help ❤️
Over the last seven months, life has humbled me in ways I never imagined.
I lost my international remote job. Then my home. I left Lagos for Ilorin hoping to rebuild, but things didn't work out as planned. Since then, I've been navigating unstable accommodation, unemployment, and trying to hold on to hope while applying for jobs and looking for a way forward.
Last week, I shared my full story on Substack.
Writing it was difficult, but I'm glad I did.
Since then, friends, readers, and even strangers have shown me incredible kindness. Some donated. Some shared my story. Others reached out with encouragement, job leads, and promises of support.
Because of you, I've reached about 20% of my relocation goal.
Thank you. Truly.
The next step is relocating to Abuja, where I have a stronger support system and better opportunities to rebuild my life, find stable work, and continue pursuing the future I've been working toward.
I'm trying to raise enough to cover:
• Transportation to Abuja
• Temporary accommodation
• Basic living expenses while I secure employment
I'm aiming to reach at least 75% of my target before I relocate so I can make the move without immediately falling into another crisis.
If you're able to help, here's how:
❤️ Make a financial contribution (no amount is too small).
🤝 Refer me to job opportunities, especially remote or Abuja-based roles.(portfolio link in bio)
🏠 Connect me with temporary or subsidised accommodation in Abuja.
📢 Share this post with someone who may be able to help.
If you'd like to understand my story in full, you can read it here: https://t.co/x60VeSK4v5

I'm not asking anyone to rebuild my life for me.
I'm asking for a bridge while I do the rebuilding myself.
Thank you for reading, for believing in me, and for every act of kindness you've shown so far. I hope that the next update I share with you will be from Abuja, where a new chapter begins.
❤️
If you want to get into romance novels, these are a few I think you should start with.
1. Faceless by Amma Darko
2. Stay with me by Ayobami Adebayo
3. Adanna by Adesuwa O’man
4. The Middle Daughter by Chika Unigwe
5. A Thousand Splendid Suns
6. Tomorrow I Become a Woman
I’m so tired of bonding with strangers over how dysfunctional Nigeria is. It is the most guaranteed icebreaker. Your Uber driver, a random person at the store, a friend of a friend, someone seated next to you at an event… Nigeria is so draining to everyone. We are all drained.
One of the saddest things about Lagos is that we don’t even have proper public parks. You can’t just lie on the grass, look up at the stars, and enjoy a little peace without spending money somewhere. It’s the simplest things that make life beautiful, and we don’t even have those. 😭
I’ve been eating wholefoods religiously for the last months now.
High protein, incorporating fibre, tracking my calorie intake, avoiding sugar and ultra processed foods.
I can’t even start to explain how miserable this lifestyle is. Life is too short to continue this rubbish.
We've not had light in my street since 28th of June and we have absolutely no idea what happened or is happening.
My street isn't even the only one affected. It's like a whole significant part of town.
Electricity we pay for o.
I replied & then went on to rizz her up & she giggled. She followed me home & when we got to my street, we were talking, laughing, holding hands, rubbing arms & such.
The problem now is I don't remember what I used to rizz her to make her laugh so I can replicate in real life😪
So in the dream, I was going somewhere and only had 200naira for bike in my account. I took a bike and when I got to my destination, I was trying to transfer to the bike man.
For some reason, there was a crowd and there was a gorgeous girl who asked me something.

I'm so excited cos they brought people in handcuffs to court today.
I've been waiting for prosecution all these while.
They don't look like prisoners so I'm curious to know what they did.
