Sometimes we’re complaining about what’s happening. “Why isn’t this changing? When is this problem going to resolve?” My question is: what are you sending up? What you send up is going to come back down. If you send up complaints, negativity, and it’s not fair, you’re going to get back defeat, lack and struggle. Change what you’re sending up.

You only have so much emotional energy each day. It’s not an unlimited supply. It takes a lot of energy to get upset, to live offended, to think about what they said, to try to straighten them out. That’s energy you need for your dreams, to pursue your goals, to enjoy your family. Don’t spend it on things that don’t matter.

One day, we’ll look back and say, “Look what the Lord has done. Look at how He sustained my family in that tough time, look at how He healed me from that sickness, look at how He set me free from addiction, how He blessed me.” If it weren’t for His goodness, His favor, His mercy, you wouldn’t be able to withstand what’s trying to stop you.

It takes faith to leave it alone. When you take your hands off and you let God take care of it, that’s not a lack of faith; that’s great faith. When you can say, “God, I trust You with my weeds. I trust You with things I don’t understand. I’m not going to get in a hurry and try to fix things that will damage my harvest. I’m going to leave it alone.” That’s a powerful position.
