When we were in Kenya recently many of our partners who lived in the drier areas did not have basic food. Farmers Helping Farmers responded by supplying maize to the 280 members of 8 women’s groups. This was funded from the General Donations to the 2022 Holiday Campaign. Asante!!

It was all hands on deck for the walk-in cow clinic. For a small fee, used as a fundraiser for the local Muchui Women's group, more than 200 cows received dewormer before being examined & treated by the teams of vets and vet students. Cattle came from miles around. #peikenya2023

Dr. Martha Mellish and Anne Aloi, along with Kenyan staff Leah Kariuki and Gikundi M’Muguna, have been working to improve the health and welfare of donkeys in Kenya. The work has focused on developing a more humane harness. Donkeys are used to transport heavy loads. #peikenya2023

Teresa Mellish, Kenyan staff Salomi Ntinyari and France Routhier-Vos went to Nkando to sign agreements with two new Women’s groups. Nkando has not had rain in 3 years and it is very dry however while signing the agreements it began to rain! What a blessing!#peikenya2023
