Solving a system of equations? Sure you could use the fancy algebra that is constantly crammed down our throats. Or you could begin with tape diagrams. Maybe the tapes even help you understand the fancy algebra.

Collaboration really is the key to everything! Which is why Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Department of Social Services, and Department of Health and Senior Services have come together to better serve Missouri families.

@mathequalslove I teach geometry and I love explaining why we use tripods or why you don't rock back and forth on a three legged stool - because a plane is defined as three noncollinear points.

As an introduction to proofs Ss wrote a short logical chain of conditional statements. This short project had Ss writing a deductive formal argument. Here are two really cute ones! #iteachmath

Using UNO cards to introduce two column proofs. Ss did a great job! A little vertical board work is always fun! #iteachmath

This is #culture building one salutation at a time.

Great open house tonight! Talked to 80% of my Ss and families! Parents left great messages for their children. Will display in my room. #KnightsR7 #fhsknights

Had a great time at the Freshman Academy! Our Freshmen heard a lot of great messages, played some games, and started building relationships! Excellence, integrity, and purpose! #KnightsR7
