Unless we challenge children with complex vocabulary and archaic language, we will neve bridge the vocabulary gap. Yes a text may be challenging. That is why we the teacher are there to navigate the path through. Don’t dumb down or teach to a level platform. Push high and aspire.

My Year 6 class really like playing Arithmetic Jenga! Each block has an actual previous arithmetic #SATs question on it. Perfect for a quick assembly / booster group.
