Israel has caused losses in Gaza equivalent to 15 times its "pre-war" economy. @WorldBank and UN have never estimated losses from shock this huge. Everyone in Gaza is now poor; the economy is gone. The West Bank is on the same path.
Meanwhile, next door, Israel’s stock exchange is booming.

BREAKING - Since morning, I've been receiving distressing reports of Israeli Occupation Forces conducting military operations/assaults in northern West Bank. Reports of civilians, incl. medical personnel, arrested/detained or killed, are being verified.

Meanwhile, in Gaza, attacks on highly distressed civilians continue, amid severe shortage of food and other essential supplies.

As per ICJ deliberations, Israel must withdraw its troops from the occupied Palestinian territory; and it's time for the UN to deploy a protective presence to prevent further harm to the occupied Palestinian population.

History teaches us that whomever commits crimes can lie: people and organisations alike, and this is not even the worst they do. Organisations who commit crimes must embed an army of minuscule, often soulless individuals, who can be easily moulded and corrupted into the unscrupulous defence of criminal endeavours. When they do not end up in jail, it means that they have been insignificant even as criminals. Forgettable gregarious.

It is flabbergasting how a state born 76 years ago has managed to turn international law literally on its head.

This risks being the end of multilateralism, which for some influential member states no longer serves any relevant purpose.
