Operatives of the Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), also known as KAI, have rescued a child from the Alakija Junkyard along the Lagos–Badagry Expressway.

The rescue reportedly occurred during an ongoing multi-agency enforcement and cleanup operation in the area.

My name is Adeyemi Segun Oluwaseyi, a final-year student of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Ijebu-Ode, and an indigene of Efire, Ogun Waterside, Ogun State.

A few months ago, I was involved in a serious accident that resulted in a fracture of my thigh/femur close to my hip. I initially received treatment outside the hospital, hoping the bone would heal naturally. Unfortunately, after over two months of persistent pain and suffering, an X-ray revealed that the bone has not healed properly.

I now urgently need proper orthopedic treatment, further scans, medication, hospital care and possibly surgery. Sadly, the cost of treatment is beyond what I can afford.

I am therefore humbly appealing to the public, kind-hearted individuals, friends, family, organisations and philanthropists to support me financially. 🙏🏽

No amount is too small. Every contribution, no matter how little, will bring me closer to receiving the treatment I need and being able to walk properly and return to my education and normal life.

🚨🇳🇬 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: EFCC and ICPC are reportedly investigating the utilisation of the ₦12 billion Federal Government intervention fund released to the NFF for outstanding players’ wages, bonuses and other national-team obligations.

The NFF reportedly confirmed the investigation in a letter dated August 18, stating that all documents relating to the fund are currently with the two anti-corruption agencies.

The development comes amid growing scrutiny of the NFF and the management of public funds allocated to Nigerian football. 👀🇳🇬
