Poor animal #welfare? #GeneEditing allows for improved welfare, including cattle that are less susceptible to heat stress and/or more resistant to disease; and cattle that are polled - eliminating the need for dehorning. Examine the science, not the knee-jerk rhetoric.

There hasn't been a vet elected to parliament since 1884!
The input of a vet in parliament would be fantastic for dealing with issues of #animalwelfare, agriculture and tackling antimicrobial resistance #AMR.
Any support or RTs would be appreciated!

Remember reading that U.S. #dairy farmers cut the #carbonfootprint of a gallon of #milk by 63% between 1944 and 2007? Here's the update: a gallon of #milk produced in 2017 had a 19.2% lower carbon footprint than milk in 2007. Moo-nificent! https://t.co/bg7ZJBTxeL @P8_4ward
