⚽️Launched in 2015, Football Index marketed itself as a football “stock market” where users could buy shares in players and earn dividends based on media hype and match performance. To many, it looked like a new fintech success story. In reality, it was built on regulatory confusion and dangerous promises of guaranteed returns.
⚽️Despite its investment-style model, Football Index was licensed by the Gambling Commission - not the Financial Conduct Authority. As both regulators pointed fingers at each other, the platform collapsed in March 2021, taking hundreds of millions in customer funds with it. To this day, no regulator has accepted responsibility. No victims have been compensated.

@LilywhiteLab I can’t understand why Ange is so reluctant to use our academy players, the current crop are knackered.

Being unable to move/ leave the house is tough and something I’ll never take for granted again.
An Amazon delivery van crashed into my mums garden wall then drove off, thankfully a neighbour spotted them and has reported to the police. My mum is trying to contact Amazon but you’ve been useless. @AmazonUK@AmazonHelp
@Trading212 Worst customer service ever. They completely ignore customers and leave you waiting for hours/days for a reply. Avoid the questions and give you unrelated answers. Absolutely pathetic!
@EconomyRiemann@Trading212 They've been absolutely useless, their email responses are poor and slow, they clearly haven't trained their staff very well. They also don't have a phone line which is absolutely crazy. I've complained to the FCA & am writing a formal complaint to Trading212.
@Trading212 can I speak to someone on the phone please? This is regarding your money laundering prevention methods and a fraud case where my parents have lost £18,000.
So far we are getting sporadic emails which is not good enough.

My parents have been a victim of an impersonation scam, involving Lloyds bank and trading212, the former are taking no responsibility and the latter are incredible difficult to get in contact with. It’s around £18,000.
