On June 3, 2026, at about 1 p.m., deputies responded to a home in the 8200 block of Tivoli Drive, where there was a report of a woman outside of a home, screaming. When deputies arrived, they knocked on the door of the residence, and the woman came out holding a knife. Deputies retreated back toward the street and ordered her to drop the knife several times. She refused to drop the knife and shouted “I’ll kill you” as she continued to advance.
Three deputies fired their service weapons, and the woman was struck. Deputies rendered aid until paramedics arrived. The woman was transported to the hospital, where she died.
As is our standard procedure, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting and will turn over its findings to the State Attorney's Office for review. Once that process is completed, OCSO will conduct its own internal investigation. The deputies who fired their weapons are on temporary, paid administrative leave pending the initial FDLE review.
@kenyatta_pow No staff there, that restaurant wasn't open that day sir. It was open for us not because we are entitled, but because management is not like you who would spit in someone's food. Not everyone has what it takes to manage or own businesses
I like you,no camouflage, lawyer, Right?
@kenyatta_pow Im not one who goes to resort and dont show appreciation for the hospitality provided by the staff. I never act like Im better than them, I always use the words please, thank you, can I or may I have. I never say "make sure you" to anyone. Staff aren't our helpers/maid
@kenyatta_pow Dont assume " your clearer picture" I said that because more than one was complaining about wages. That resort is the only one I ever stayed & experienced that level of unprofessionalism by staff
@kenyatta_pow Yes I did, caz 3 out of 5 complaining about wages, improve on customer service, stop ranting to guest & they will see a difference. I tip heavy at resorts, when at resorts, I get real road food, mangoes, coconut , ground crew will get me real 🇯🇲fruits, caz I tip well
@kenyatta_pow We were at the Jewels Grande Resort during covid, our group is 6 couples. We went to a restaurant without reservation, host said 45 minutes wait, 1 hr no table, I got upset, we left, manager found us, opened the Italian restaurant that was closed & have a chef prepared meals🇯🇲❤️
@kenyatta_pow You have staff at this resort asking guest to get food for them, then they go hide by beach & eat, they complain about wages. I mentioned to one that I could work at a resort for minimum wage & make 100 times in tips. I explained to him that its all about customer service
@kalvinbrownjm@kenyatta_pow If they change since I was there, I dont know, but from experience, the behavior of the staff there is shithouse. I spent over US$15Gran at this place to renew wedding vows. It was the worst experience at a resorts. I had to ask an employee if she was sleeping with management.
@JcIambane16 The collateral damage from these fools who believe they’re professional hit men
These are the fools the @JamaicaConstab needs to “rub out”
Law abiding citizens will not burn the city nor flood talk radio
On vacation, so is it being in the wrong place at the wrong time 🤔
