I think people are misreading this:

The reason women benefit from losing weight and men don't is because men don't pay *nearly* the same penalty for being overweight, either romantically or professionally

I would imagine that if there was a pill that made you taller, men who took it would see significant increases to dating and (to a lesser degree) professional opportunities.
