every single one of these stories feels like a devastation of not only death but an unfathomable love in the face of unspeakable horror. ya rabb, courage in their name.
I am writing to you about a conversation that took place with one of the people under the rubble of his bombed home. Unfortunately, this is what happens to us every day in Gaza...

@m_myglory This is excellent, moving. Both bracing and affirming to read for the many of us who are contending with shifts in our friendships and community in the face of escalating genocide. Thank you.

Amid the devastation of war in Sudan (& its long roots, as mapped out in this piece, implicating UAE, Russia, Israel, Egypt & more), the resistance committees persist as profoundly moving eg of grassroots courage & solidarity. We take serious note of their transformative model.
"Will it be a peace based on power sharing between military and civilian elites, which will only temporarily halt the violence, or a true peace built on justice and a new bottom-up governance model that ... dismantles existing systems of elite power and systematic appropriation?"
"khalas ya habibi." not a lonely death but a life suffused in love, until the end. ya rabb, i do not know the words to this prayer. shoulder to shoulder, saf ala saf, may we close ranks around the dead and the disappeared, this endless and wretched janazah for a burning world.
