We're among 1,000+ musicians jointly releasing this album to protest the UK government's planned changes to copyright law, which would hand musicians' work to AI companies for free. It's an album of recordings of empty studios, which is what we'll get. https://t.co/WTUaULxVov
I'm one of 1,000+ musicians who are jointly releasing this album today to protest the UK
government's planned changes to copyright law, which would hand the life's work of the
country's musicians to AI companies for free. It's an album of recordings of empty studios,
which is what we'll get if the government's plans go ahead.
Don't legalise music theft!

All profits from streaming go to @HelpMusicians
Bravo to @ednewtonrex for running this important campaign.
Along with 1,000 musicians, today we're releasing an (almost) silent album protesting the UK government's plan to upend copyright law to benefit AI companies.
It's an album of recordings of empty studios & performance spaces, representing the effect the govt's plans would have on musicians' livelihoods.
It's called 'Is This What We Want?', and the track list spells out a simple message: "The British Government Must Not Legalise Music Theft To Benefit AI Companies".
Incredibly grateful to the many, many musicians involved 🙌
All profits are going to @HelpMusicians.
Please listen & share!

What does a new widow do on NYE? She listens to @BBCRadio2, opens a bottle and toasts her amazing husband. Courageous, wise, strong, creative and never dull. They didn’t call him the Pirate for nothing. Above all - the most devoted loving husband. Pls raise a 🥂to Johnnie Walker
Really enjoyed the @bbcshowstours "With Great Pleasure at Christmas with Jo Brand" I even got to speak to Jo herself but I forgot to take a selfie 🤦♂️. The band @policedoghogan were amazing with the live music. @alandaviescomic and @Isysuttie were great too.
