If Arsenal can do the 4 following things, i think they will be with a greater chance to beat PSG in the UCL final tomorrow!.
Arsenal should not allow any early goal from PSG in first 20 minutes of the first half, because that has been the PSG strategy of ruining the opponents game plans by scoring the early goal.
Another one, Arsenal should not allow PSG defenders to join the attack to cause chaos, Arsenal has to make them busy. Which means Saka and Trossard has to be outstanding in that game with high intensity and speed, that’s to say, Nuno Mendes and Hakimi will be with less impact in the game.
Last but not the least, Arsenal should not allow vitinha to dictate the temple and control the game in the midfield, which means Arsenal has to select a midfielder that will not allow Vitinha to dictate the Rhythm in the midfield, because he is their master planner.
Last, Arsenal should control the intensity, Rhythm and Tempo of the game because PSG strength is in high pressing and intensity. So Arsenal should not allow PSG to play the game at a high tempo in finals.
Therefore; if Arsenal put the above things on the pitch, I think Arsenal will be with a bigger chance to beat PSG because Arsenal also has the cent-piece Advantage over PSG.
Ian Wright on how Arsenal can beat PSG tonight:
🗣️ “When I watch Arsenal, I don't think trying to press PSG for 90 minutes is the answer.
PSG are too good on the ball and too dangerous when they break through the press.
The way Arsenal win this game is through quick counterattacks and set pieces.
We've seen all season how deadly Arsenal are from corners and free-kicks.
If they stay compact, hit PSG on the break, and make the most of their set-piece chances, they can absolutely win this final.”
🚨🗣️Mesut Özil emotional message after Arsenal finally win the Premier League after 22 years: ❤️
“22 years… finally over.
I know what this club has suffered. The banter, the pain, the near misses, the waiting. But Arsenal fans never stopped believing. That is what makes this club special.
Tonight is not just about winning a trophy. It’s about generations of supporters who waited their whole lives to see this moment again. The tears, the celebrations, the emotions… this is football.
Arsenal belongs at the top of English football. Always has, always will.
From Highbury to the Emirates, from Wenger’s era to this new generation… tonight the red side of London celebrates together.
Enjoy every second, Gooners. You deserve this. ❤️🏆”
KAN U believe it??? Arsenal Forever. The Gunners worked so hard for this. Difficult but they fought.
Very well deserved. Come on you gunners #congratulations@arsenal#arsenal
🚨❤️ | Ian Wright sends emotional message to Mikel Arteta
🗣️ “I want to say sorry to Arteta. There were times I doubted him and thought maybe Arsenal needed change.”
🗣️ “Now I say give Mikel Arteta a contract for life.” 😅🏆
🗣️ “He brought this club from the trenches. We are what we are now because of one man — Mikel.”
I can’t describe my feelings right now… Football always gives back to those who keep believing.. To the fans who kept believing, you deserve this… Arsenal; the club that will stay in my heart forever, you deserve this… The players and everyone at the club who made it happen, you deserve this… Congratulations to the best club in the world ❤️ @Arsenal
🚨🚨🎙️ Wayne Rooney on Arsenal winning the Premier League after 22 years: an emotional speech 🎤
“This team… this team… honestly, I’m actually feeling emotional for them right now. For years people called them soft, fragile, bottlers… every season it was ‘stay humble’, ‘show some mentality’, ‘build some muscle’, ‘they’re not built for the big moments’. 😭
Well… where’s Mr. Mentality now? Where’s the man telling everyone to stay humble now? Where’s the man mocking them with a bottle. I can’t see them 👀
Because Arsenal have gone and done it. After 22 years. And they didn’t do it in an easy season either, they did it in one of the toughest Premier League campaigns I can remember. The pressure, the intensity, the competition… and they still came out on top.
If right now, you are still doubting this team then you’ve been left behind, and it’s only a matter of time you will stop doubting them.
You have to give credit where it’s due. Mikel Arteta deserves enormous praise because he rebuilt this club step by step and got people believing again.
I can already see Arsenal fans becoming the loudest people on earth for the next 20 years… and honestly? Fair enough. They’ve suffered enough. Congratulations to Arsenal Football Club.” 🏆❤️
🚨 BREAKING: Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola on facing Manchester City tonight:
Scared of City? No. Honestly, I want the league season to end tonight, and I will make sure we do it. We are going to stop City. Why? Because we want Arsenal to have peace of mind and time to prepare for the Champions League Final on May 30.
"Arsenal saved English football this season. What they did for the to ensure Five English teams play in the Champions League next season is historic. Every club in England owes them a favor. Tonight, Bournemouth pays our debt. We are playing for North London.

There was a woman who sold rice and stew outside my office building on Broad Street. Every day for 4 years. Big pot. Blue plastic chairs. She knew everyone's order before they reached her table.
Her name was Mama Chidi.
Mine was the last plate before she packed up. 1:45pm. Every day without fail she'd see me coming and start dishing before I even sat down. Extra meat. Never charged me for it. I asked her once why.
She said I looked like someone who skipped breakfast.
She was right every time.
2019 she stopped showing up. No warning. Just gone. I asked around. Nobody knew anything. I switched to a restaurant down the road. More expensive. Smaller portions. Spent 4 years just quietly missing a plate of rice I never properly appreciated.
Last month my colleague forwarded a Twitter post into our work group.
A young guy. Maybe 25. Saying his mother used to sell food on Broad Street before she had a stroke in 2019 that took her left side. That she was recovering but kept asking about her regulars. That she cried one day saying she never got to say goodbye to any of them.
I DM'd him immediately.
He called me 10 minutes later.
She was sitting right next to him.
I heard her voice through the phone. Slower than I remembered. But she laughed when he told her who it was.
She said she always saved my plate last because quiet people need someone looking out for them.
I visited her in Mushin on Saturday. She can't stand long anymore. But she sat up straight in that chair and watched me eat everything she'd made.
Didn't let me leave without packing food for the road.
Some people just decide to take care of you. Before you even know you need it.

ODIRS Deepens Capacity as Oyedele Speaks on New Tax Laws
****IRS Recognised as Sole Revenue Collector for States Under New Tax Laws****
The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has organised a high-level capacity-building lecture titled “New Tax Laws and Their Implications on States”, aimed at strengthening the understanding of recent fiscal reforms and their impact on revenue administration at the sub-national level.
The lecture was delivered by Professor Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, on Tuesday, January 3, 2026, at the ODIRS Learning Centre, Akure.
Participants at the session included management staff, heads of departments, and other critical stakeholders in revenue administration.
In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan, FCA, FCTI, warmly received Professor Oyedele and expressed appreciation for his commitment to knowledge sharing and institutional capacity development. He also commended the Pioneer Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Dr. Tolu Adegbie, who is a member of the Presidential Tax Reforms Committee and was present at the event, for laying a strong foundation that continues to guide and strengthen the Service.
Mr. Rojugbokan urged participants to actively engage with the session, describing the lecture as a rare opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the philosophy, intent, and implementation framework of the new tax laws.
In his presentation, Professor Oyedele described power as “soft, yet stronger than physical power,” emphasising that effective tax administration goes beyond enforcement. He explained that the new tax reforms are fundamentally about governance, fairness, and nation-building, driven through enlightenment, technology adoption, intelligence gathering, strategic planning, efficient processes, people-centred policies, and effective execution.
He disclosed that the new tax laws formally recognise the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as the sole revenue collector for states. At the same time, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) retains responsibility for revenue collection on behalf of the Federation. According to him, the reforms are designed to professionalise IRS institutions nationwide and ensure they are adequately resourced.
Professor Oyedele further noted that the reforms prioritise equity and inclusiveness, with exemptions for small businesses and low-income earners, while higher-income earners form the primary tax base. He highlighted key areas where states stand to benefit significantly, including the Value Added Tax (VAT) sharing formula, tax harmonisation, personal income tax, stamp duties, virtual assets, banking-related taxes, tax clearance certificates, the informal sector, and fuel surcharge mechanisms.
He also addressed several contentious and commonly misunderstood provisions of the new tax laws, clarifying their intent and long-term benefits for economic growth and sustainable revenue generation. He added that land reforms and simplified tax processes are essential to easing compliance for citizens.
Speaking at the event, the Pioneer Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Dr. Tolu Adegbie, revealed that plans are underway to organise state-by-state training programmes for IRS officials nationwide. He noted that the initiative would equip revenue agencies with in-depth knowledge of the new tax laws and would involve key Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, including Finance, the Office of the Accountant-General, Budget, and Economic Planning.
The session featured an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which participants sought clarifications on various aspects of the reforms, all of which were addressed by the facilitator.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Rojugbokan expressed gratitude to Professor Oyedele for delivering an insightful and impactful lecture, noting that the engagement would further strengthen tax administration and policy implementation in Ondo State.
ODIRS Grants Two-Week Extension for Employers’ Annual Tax Returns Filing.
The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has approved a two-week extension for the submission of Employers’ Annual Tax Returns, moving the deadline from January 31 to February 14, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan, FCA, FCTI, explained that although the statutory deadline for filing employers’ annual returns remains January 31 each year, the extension was granted to allow employers sufficient time to ensure accuracy and completeness in their tax filings.
Mr. Rojugbokan emphasized the importance of timely compliance, urging employers to regard tax obligations as a core and routine aspect of corporate responsibility rather than a secondary administrative task.
He further reiterated that electronic submission via the ODIRS official portal remains the only approved method for filing Employers’ Annual Tax Returns, as manual and paper-based submissions are facing off gradually. Employers are therefore required to file their returns exclusively through the ODIRS website at https://t.co/erVTIJXBhy.
The Executive Chairman assured stakeholders of the Service’s continued commitment to simplifying tax administration processes. He encouraged all employers across the state to take full advantage of the extension to comply with their statutory obligations without attracting penalties.
