@pringle_patrice@ItsTheeBobbyC I apologise, I didn't realise that's what you were asking for. There are 3 main issues in the V2 documents: religious liberty, ecumenism, collegiality.
For example, religious liberty from Dignitatis Humanae contradicts Quanta Cura (par. 3) and Syllabus of Errors (esp. 55 & 78)
@pringle_patrice@ItsTheeBobbyC I know that Archbishop Lefebvre signed V2 documents. Many bishops were misled, he wasn't the only one who didn't like the changes contrary to Catholicism.
I urge you to read "Open Letter to Confused Catholics" and "They have uncrowned Him" to better understand the SSPX position.
@alla_talanta@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace Yes, it's smug free.
The society has maintained the Catholic religion and has the refused to partake in the religion of the conciliar church created at Vatican 2.
@queenizzidabell This is a big thing showing you you're on the right side. If the supposed Catholics hate and revile you for following what you believe is the Catholic faith, you must be right since if they had the real Catholic faith they'd act differently. Same as the Vatican with its hypocrisy
@pringle_patrice@ItsTheeBobbyC You should learn your religion and stop using concepts foreign to Holy Tradition like "full communion". You're either in the Church or you're not. The only reason there are Vatican-approved TLMs is that the SSPX exists. But it goes far beyond the liturgy, the faith is at stake.
@pringle_patrice@ItsTheeBobbyC 1 Cor 1:31:That, as it is written: He that glories may glory in the Lord.
Jer 9:24:But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy, and judgment, and justice in the earth: for these things please me, says the Lord.
Proudly excommunicated by the Post-Conciliar Synodal Church if that means I hold firm to the true faith. For as Athanasius said, โwhat is more important, the buildings or the faith? Surely the faith.โ
St. Paul: Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema.
Vatican II popes: We preach a different gospel than our predecessors, and let him who is disobedient be anathema.
@alla_talanta@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace At first by a modernist priest who baptised me. Then, through old catechisms with priestly guidance. Two different religions.
Also, your snarky attitude isn't helping anyone. The article clearly doesn't say every SSPX adherent has to take the oath.
@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace@alla_talanta Religious liberty as a human right cannot logically follow from religious liberty being condemned as a human right. That's just one of the blatant contradictions flowing out of V2. There have been 268 Popes and only 5 believe and teach the doctrines of V2.
@underground2099@tradwife29 And there have been many bad popes in the past, like today. Should we have been committing sexual sins like some of our popes had we been living during their reign? No. Same with false doctrines, we ought to reject them as per Sts. Paul, Bellarmine, Thomas.
@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace@alla_talanta My conscience is clean before God as I had all the humility and the desire to learn and no matter how hard I learned, A never equaled B in my eyes, and if the Pope tells me the sky is green, which he is saying in terms of doctrine, I cannot support that in good conscience.
@AleppoAteMyFace@GJCMDP@tradwife29@alla_talanta It doesn't falsify Catholicism because the contradictory teachings have been declared "pastoral". Now we must resist that which is false, according to many saints, like St. Robert Bellarmine, things such as religious liberty, even if the Pope teaches it.
@AleppoAteMyFace@GJCMDP@tradwife29@alla_talanta You've become the caricature that Protestants made of Catholics. Universal Ordinary Magisterium cannot contradict itself, but if you "follow the magisterium" then you have to believe contradictions. I'll stick with the same religion as all the Holy Popes and Saints before 1960s
@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace@alla_talanta It's a fascinating thing that modernists have taught poor Catholics that you're incapable of understanding anything ever unless the Pope chews it up for you and tells you what it means. St. Paul in Gal 1:8 assumes you can tell what the truth is so you can resist the falsehood.
@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace@alla_talanta Blind faith is not Catholicism. It takes the ability to read, reason and logic to understand Church documents. I don't need to be an expert to see the glaring differences, for example, between the Syllabus of Errors condemnation of religious liberty, and V2's promotion of it.
@GJCMDP@tradwife29@AleppoAteMyFace@alla_talanta I don't know a better route, I know that. That's why I follow all the Popes, not just the current one. And if virtually every Pope before Vatican 2 taught a different version of Catholicism than they teach now, I side with them.
@underground2099@tradwife29 No. Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. He is Truth and He is unchanging. If what you said was true, the faith would change with each Pope like it does for Mormons with their "prophets", because if you study Catholic history, you'll see that Catholicism was different before
