"I sat on the bench for five years"
"I spent four or five years watching Calvin Marlin when I was 17, thinking to myself, ‘This is what I need to be to become a top-flight goalkeeper.’ Then, he got injured during a match. It was a freak injury, his testicles swelled up massively after he was struck by the ball...
"The day I made my Ajax debut, something switched in my head. I played seven games in a row, and I won seven Man of the Match awards in a row.
“Soon after that, I played a game that made people notice me even more. It was a Coca-Cola Cup away to Black Leopards in Thohoyandou. People were not used to seeing a sweeper-keeper. I was really sweeping… clearing and passing balls from the halfway line.
“We ended up going to penalties, and I saved two to help the team win. After that, I was well-recognised."

You are clearly not a Zimbabwean, because if you were, you would not be tweeting this nonsense.
I was the third biggest Boer goat breeder in Zimbabwe, selling to commercial farmers. I did not have the so called land you are talking about. I operated on my ancestral land, a three acre plot. Why?
Farming land has little to no commercial value in Zimbabwe because it was politicised. It was taken by ZANUPF under Robert Mugabe at a time when the party had become deeply unpopular, particularly after the 2000 referendum defeat, and under mounting pressure from war veterans, hence the violent land reform programme.
It was an emotional reaction, not a properly thought through economic reform.
Land theoretically belongs to Zimbabweans, but today it has limited bankable value under the current tenure system. Zimbabwe is importing maize from South Africa. Even toothpicks and toilet paper come from South Africa.
If I were allocated land today and constructively criticised the government tomorrow, I would lose it. What good is land that cannot be used as collateral and whose tenure is insecure?
You cannot even borrow money from the bank to buy that land because it has virtually no commercial value under the current system.
Before you jump onto the “Zimbabweans have land” and “Mandela left nothing” propaganda, do your research. Mugabe had no initial intention of taking land in that manner, his hand was forced by political pressures, and the literature is there for anyone willing to read.
Secondly, only a charlatan would compare Nelson Mandela to Robert Mugabe in that way. Nelson Mandela led his country for five years because he was not power hungry. Robert Mugabe ruled Zimbabwe violently for 37 years and ultimately had to be removed by a military coup, leaving the country economically devastated.
Millions of Zimbabweans live in South Africa, both legally and illegally, how many South Africans live in Zimbabwe?
Reports from the South African government say health facilities such as Musina Hospital have repeatedly highlighted the strain created by cross-border migration.
Seventy percent of women giving birth there are Zimbabwean because there are no decent maternity facilities in Zimbabwe.
The biggest hospital there has only one working maternity theatre, built in 1977. It had stopped working and was later refurbished by a South African bank, Standard Bank.
Mandela died in a South African hospital being treated by South African doctors, Robert Mugabe died in a Singaporean hospital being treated by Singaporean doctors.
At independence in 1965, Zimbabwe, then Rhodesia, had a larger economy than Singapore. Today, Singapore’s economy is roughly 15 to 17 times larger than Zimbabwe’s in nominal GDP terms, a stark illustration of the different governance and policy paths taken over the decades.
South Africa has no journalists or politicians living in Zimbabwe in exile for fear of their lives. Today, I am a living example of how our political independence has become meaningless, I was forced out of my own country and I now live in Mandela’s South Africa.
Thousands of Zimbabweans die every month because hospitals have no medication and no medical equipment. Zimbabwean leaders come to South Africa for medical treatment. What does that tell you about both countries?
For all its ills, Mandela’s ANC has kept a country running, and it is the only liberation movement in Southern Africa that has managed to do that. The rest are basket cases, including Zimbabwe, which does not even have a convertible national currency.
So the next time you want to insult Mandela, first get your facts right.
You can praise your “heroes” without denigrating South Africa’s founding father.
Respect for your own leaders does not require contempt for Nelson Mandela or the country he helped build.
It is deeply disrespectful for anyone, whether Zimbabwean or not, to insult Nelson Mandela by comparing him to Robert Mugabe, especially considering that South Africa has given a home to millions of Zimbabweans, both legally and illegally, who continue to work, build lives and send money back to Zimbabwe to support their families.
That reality alone should make any reasonable person pause and reflect before speaking carelessly.
I will end by telling you this, land in Zimbabwe is distributed on the basis of party loyalty, not on the basis of capacity, productivity or competence.
When a country allocates its main economic asset according to who shouts the loudest slogans rather than who can use it to produce, create jobs and grow the economy, it mortgages its own future.
You cannot compare a system that rewards political obedience with one where citizens are able to live, work, build businesses and thrive economically long before they ever receive land. That is the difference. That is the argument. And that is why the comparison is clearly foolish.
Robert Mugabe left a broken country, Nelson Mandela left a democratic country that has become the go to nation for Africans who cannot survive in their own broken countries, a place where millions seek refuge, opportunity and dignity. That is Mandela's legacy.
DJ Black Coffee's foundation has started building homes for families in Mthatha affected by 2025 severe floods
The Black Coffee Foundation has begun construction on a series of permanent homes for families affected by severe flooding in the Eastern Cape, with the first phase currently underway in Mthatha.
“Our goal has always been to meet communities where they are,” said Lungie Maphumulo, CEO of the Black Coffee Foundation.
“Last year, we were honoured to support families with food parcels following the devastating floods in the Eastern Cape. This year, we are continuing that work with a deeper commitment - to rebuild homes, restore dignity, and invest in futures. The housing initiative is one of several programmes we are rolling out in 2026, and we’re proud to stand with partners like TenCo Foundation and ProRoof as we help families rebuild their lives.”

I see that Israel is going to intervene in Umtata hospital and revamp the hospital into a better condition, and possibly Israel might fix roads and build bridges to help the community of Umtata and other parts of Eastern Cape. These interventions have been caused because of King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo's trip to Israel and his alignment with the State of Israel.
This was bound to happen, and possibly the Eastern Cape won't be the first and last province where Israel is intervening. King Dalindyebo is not the first nor the last king to be on the side of Israel, as the ANC government ignored, undermined, and humiliated royal houses in the past. The ANC failed to keep communities happy and undermined the role of traditional leadership, and left them vulnerable to our adversaries, countries like Israel.
Under the ANC government, we see the continuation of persecution of black leaders, continuation of the suffering of poor black communities and the deterioration of black communities, rising unemployment, high numbers of people depending on social grants, and rising cases of malnutrition. Therefore, to get mad at King Dalindyebo because of the ANC's own goals is misguided.
It was bound to happen that all dissenting people would be mobilized by ANC enemies against the ANC. Let's look at the case of Jacob Zuma; today he's pro-Israel because he is fighting back and using the principle that an enemy of my enemy is my friend.
The ATM and MKP presidents are behind the Israel fighting-back strategy, and Israel for years has been investing into churches in South Africa. Now those churches are fully behind Israel, King Dalindyebo, the ATM president, and the MKP president. People no longer tolerate the persecution of the ANC while it is looking after Dutch colonial settlers' interests.
Let's look at the persecution of the Commander in Chief of the Revolutionary forces, comrade president Julius Malema. History taught us that your adversaries are using such powerful figures if you persecute them like the ANC is doing to him. The ANC has been pushing him to its enemies, but it's only his principles that are left, and the ANC can't blame him if its adversaries lobbied him successfully because they have been humiliating him through kangaroo courts in collaboration with racist right-wing groups like Afriforum and Solidarity.
The mobilization by Chief Mandela to counter the King of AbaThembu nation will be suicidal and might mark the end of the ANC in the Eastern Cape. The poor won't defend ideology but their stomachs, and I can assure you that many church leaders, including the people of Umtata, are behind the king's decision because in the Eastern Cape the freedom is enjoyed by very few political elites and connected black elites, while the majority of people are living in squalor.
Mandla Mandela failed to mobilise his friends to develop the Eastern Cape while King Dalindyebo succeeded in doing so, and therefore the people will choose the king over the chief. Chief Mandela's call might divide and possibly spark a civil war in the Eastern Cape; the king and Israel will mobilise easily as the majority of people are unhappy about the state of affairs in the Eastern Cape. The king is not bringing food parcels but development in the Eastern Cape, and therefore people will choose development over food parcels. Governing a country where the majority of citizens are poor, you are bound to be infiltrated and your adversaries topple you from the government, and this is what is about to happen to the ANC government.
South Africans are smart enough to know that the ANC is willing to sleep in bed with their former oppressors, and therefore nothing will stop them from siding with rogue states like Israel and the USA. Very sad!

April 12, 2002, early morning: Fidel's call
At 12:38 am, an aide tells him, "Mr. President, you have a call from Commander Fidel Castro."
Chávez picks up the phone immediately, somewhat anxious. Since early in the afternoon of April 11, Fidel had been trying to reach him.
Fidel quickly asks about the situation at that moment, and Chávez responds.
"We're here in the Palace, entrenched," he begins. "We've lost the military force that could have been decisive. They cut our television signal. I have no forces to mobilize and I'm assessing the situation."
"What forces do you have there?" Fidel asks quickly.
"Between 200 and 300 men, completely exhausted."
"Do you have tanks?"
"No, there were tanks but they withdrew to their barracks."
"What other forces can you count on?" Fidel presses.
"There are others further away, but I have no communication with them," Chávez replies, alluding to General Baduel and the paratroopers, the armored division in Maracaibo, and the other loyal forces.
Fidel pauses briefly and with great delicacy says: "May I offer an opinion?"
Chávez responds immediately: "Yes."
"Negotiate honorable and dignified terms, and preserve the lives of your men—they are your most loyal. Don't sacrifice them, and don't sacrifice yourself," Fidel says in the most persuasive tone possible.
"They're all prepared to die here!" Chávez responds with emphasis and emotion.
"I know, but I believe I can think more calmly than you can right now," Fidel adds without missing a beat, as Chávez listens intently to every word.
"Don't resign. Demand honorable, guaranteed conditions so you don't fall victim to treachery—because I believe you must preserve yourself. Besides, you have a duty to your comrades.
Don't immolate yourself!
Don't step down!
Don't resign!"
48 hours later, Chávez was back in the presidency.
Elon’s grandfather did a lot more than rodeo.
Since Elon brought up his grandpa recently, someone he described as his hero, I think it's worth discussing him a bit in the context of Elon officially coming out as a white nationalist.
Joshua Haldeman was an early chiropractor, back when the practice was only 2 degrees removed from snake oil (I am serious, Google early chiropracy, it was bunkers). They believed the cracking the spine could heal anything and the founder claimed to have learned the practice from a ghost or spirit.
As Elon mentioned, he was from Minnesota, but he was only born there; he moved to Canada as a youth. His mother became the first official chiropractor in Canada.
There's evidence, as in the picture posted by Elon, that he did some rodeoing in Canada during the Great Depression, but he spent most of his life practicing chiropractic.
During the second war, Haldeman became involved in Canadian politics, specifically in Technocracy. At the time, the Technocratic Party of Canada was banned due to its opposition to the war and known sympathies for some Nazi politics.
Haldeman was even one of the few people arrested in Canada for his activism in the party.
The party ended up being unbanned for eventually supporting Canada fighting the Nazis, but good old Haldeman had already left the party by then. He had joined the Social Credit Party of Canada.
At the time, the party was known for antisemitism, which, to his credit, Haldeman occasionally pushed against, but other times, embraced it. Remind you of someone?
After losing two elections in a row (1945-49), he decided to move from Canada. Of all the countries, he decided to go to newly apartheid South Africa as its new government aligned more closely with his values.
Enough said.

15-year-old FC Koln midfielder Jaylen Potgieter was invited by Kaizer Chiefs DDC coaches for a training camp in Naturena during this recent break.
The technical team was super impressed with him and could not believe he is a 2010 born player with the amount of maturity he showed.
The German U16 Bundesliga took a winter break and Jaylen came home for the holiday.
U17 coach Vela Khumalo wanted to also have a closer look at the youngster who is doing very well in Germany 🇩🇪.
