Céline Dion has announced her return to the stage, four years after she was diagnosed with an incurable condition that affected her singing voice and her ability to walk. In a video message delivered on her 58th birthday, she thanked fans for their support during her health challenges and said she feels “strong” and “excited” to return to the stage. Celine Dion will perform 10 shows at Paris La Défense Arena from Sept. 12 through Oct. 14, marking a major milestone after years away from touring due to the rare neurological disorder she disclosed in 2022.

Nigerian history is back in the curriculum. We did not ban it, but we felt it was wrong, and we moved swiftly to bring Nigerian history back."

In today’s challenging job market, casting a wide net is necessary to get callbacks and interviews. ChatGPT and other generative AI tools can be useful for producing cover letters at scale, but if you don’t know how to make them sound like you, you risk putting off a hiring manager or recruiter.

Under the same economy, Sanwo-olu built railways and provided trains. He built railway stations. Built bus terminals and provided buses. Initiated, started, and commissioned mass housing projects, including three estates with 1000 units at Gbagada, Odo-Onosa Ayandelu and Agbowa. Built flyovers and overhead bridges, as well as roads. He also built and commissioned schools and hospitals. And then increased workers salary by 20% while providing palliatives and subsidised rice.
My question to you is this: What has your Governor done with the increased federal allocation, which has increased by 69% since fuel subsidy ended in June 2023? Yet, you want to protest hardship. If your Governor is collecting increased allocation and has not increased salary, Tinubu is not up or problem. Your issue is in your state capital. That is the source of your hardship!

Before subsidy removal, Nasarawa was receiving ₦4.3 billion monthly federal allocation. After subsidy removal, Nasarawa is receiving ₦12.3 billion monthly. Enugu's monthly allocation went from ₦3.4 billion monthly to ₦6.7 billion. This year, the thirty states are projected to receive ₦5.6 billion. Last year, they got ₦3.3 trillion. And their wage bill has not increased. It remains the same. In addition to this, their Internally Generated Revenue has also increased. Their VAT revenue has also risen.
So tell me, why should you be facing economic hardship when your Governor receives double the allocation he used to receive? Why is the Nigerian Labour Congress not protesting against them? What has your state government done to alleviate your poverty? Why is it only Tinubu you are facing, and leaving your Governor? At least Tinubu is paying ₦35,000 wage support to federal employees. What is your Governor paying?
We will face Tinubu head-on in 2027. If Nigerians vote for us in the Peoples Democratic Party, we can replace him with our candidate. But for now, I personally believe he is doing the right thing with fuel subsidy removal and Naira flotation. You, too, do your part and #GrowNairaBuyNaija
