A resident of Okuryangava, Windhoek Desire Katupose, spent her Monday evening pacing the corridors of Katutura Intermediate Hospital.

Katupose is in search of missing eldest brother who vanished over a month and two weeks ago.

She moved from the basement all the way up to the 7th floor, checking ward by ward, bed by bed in the desperate hope of finding 47-year-old Engelhart Katupose lying unidentified or unconscious on a hospital bed.

Engelhart Katupose went missing on 30 July 2026, and his family has had no leads since, apart from the one today from a Kaisames listener who heard an announcement of a unidetified patient at Katutura hospital, sparking the search.

She is still clinging to hope, for her brother to reunite with the family and more especially his 14-year-old daughter after an exhausting after-work search that yielded no positive results.

The family is appealing to the Windhoek community and Namibian nation who spotted Katupose in the last few weeks to contact sister Desire Katupose on number in poster or nearest police.
