Toto Wolff reveals he and Lewis Hamilton stopped speaking for weeks after Nico Rosberg won the 2016 title, made his rule with his wife Susie their rule, and admits Hamilton later had to remind him of it
“There was a moment when we had a really difficult time in 2016, after Nico won the race and the championship, and we didn’t talk to each other for a few weeks. And then he came to my home because I said, we have to talk. And we spent many hours and we came out of this discussion, it was before the Christmas party, so strong. That was the foundation of our friendship and relationship in the years to come."
"But what I said to him is, we cannot not speak to each other. If there’s something that annoys us, you just have to pick up the phone. You have to tell me and I’ll promise to do the same, because the rule with Susie is, if there’s something that makes us angry, we talk about it before we switch the light off in the evening. We don’t let it drag into the next day."
"And a year or two passed and we had a situation that annoyed me and I didn’t call him, and he called me and said, ‘Remember what you said to me. We have to speak to each other.’ And I said, ‘You’re so absolutely right.’ So he reminded me of what I said to him.”
@Shawn_in_TO@TSN_Sports Don’t underestimate that. It’s fucking ridiculous to try and take your kids to do something and you can’t even walk 3 feet without people coming up. Even twenty years ago people had no respect. I’d end up just walking away and taking our kids by myself.
@RaceDayRoar@MattWeaverRA Which addresses safety how ? In a week week were CTE has been directly associated with this nascar, your comment and many others in here are disappointing, disheartening and under undereducated. Do better.

Andy Beshear: I've got soybean farmers. 100% of them voted for Trump. They lost their first client in USAID. Linda McMahon canceled the farm-to-cafeteria program. Trump's tariff pushed China away. All of your farm machinery runs on diesel. And finally, a third of the world's fertilizer passes through the Strait of Hormuz. They are on the verge of declaring bankruptcy.
I agree. The allegations are so numerous and so specific, and the denials so broad, that they are startling to read.
If even a fraction of the allegations have a significant factual basis, this will be a scandal for the ages.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

A lot of people seem surprised that only one Ferrari is working.
Why are you surprised? Have you not been watching? I thought we all expected exactly this, no? 🤷♂️
Ferrari’s been pretty clear about their intentions.
So awesome to meet @CarsonHocevar last night here at Talladega. He came over to our campsite and hung out for a long time. Met the girls and was just so chill. Sarah gave him a hug too. He's what you see on TV that's for sure. Thanks everyone to help make it happen.

Ukraine just repatriated 270 POWs from Russian captivity.
He has “Jew” carved into his back.
These are the people are president says are “fine“ on Ukraine. That Witkoff calls “humanitarian.”
