Love this hellebore flower as it’s gone to seed. It was a creamy pink colour (also nice) but the green with dusky pink edges is pretty special I think.
Watching the changes in flowers as they open and go to seed is one of the many delights of flower far… https://t.co/d9ymVEG7ty
I’m spending quite a bit of time contemplating the beauty of nature all around us. This is not something new. Those who know me will know I can sometimes be seen wandering around the field with no particular purpose and it’s not just because I can’t deci… https://t.co/acjlN0Sqjd
I’m taking the time to do some planting in the beautiful weather we are having. The first job though is to burn holes in the weed control barrier with a trusty burner courtesy of @pickedatdawn (I’ll get it back to you one day Suze!)

Well we are living in strange times. But flowers keep growing and flowering thank goodness. And Mother Nature is still playing her part. I find it quite reassuring to think that nature is unaffected by our human health crisis. I’m particularly enjoying t… https://t.co/hxeoSEhVeU
So while social distancing I’ve decided on a few DIY projects. Today these items arrived. Stage one complete. Now I have to sort myself out to make my idea reality. What do you think they are for @pickedatdawn#DIYproject#socialdistancingproject#ropes… https://t.co/op4htRio87
Hope everyone has had a lovely Mother’s Day in these strange times. It’s a bit odd not to have all my nephews and nieces visiting their grandma on mother’s day. We are at the beginning of a time when it’s difficult to comprehend what the current situatio… https://t.co/M63sRgAU2a
Another day of change yesterday. It’s affecting us all but plants keep growing and there is something comforting about green shoots telling us that spring is here.
The dahlias have started sprouting. This is Joey Winnie. Will start taking cuttings soon.… https://t.co/YnEjjUjaNC
Fritillary persica is a beauty. I only grew a few this year but I might have to splash out on more next year. Possibly not a profitable option but with this growing lark you’ve got to grow a little of the things that make you happy as well as the flowers… https://t.co/OFJCjAgOlY
Anemones are a staple of british grown cut flowers in spring but I have to admit until this year I did not grow many because I wasn’t that enamoured. But I’m happy to report I’ve changed my mind. They come white, soft pastels, pinks, reds and blues and a… https://t.co/xSrsqvdRBz
Who can resist hellebores. Not me. I’ve just purchased this one (Penny’s pink) for my garden but I expect it will get cut one day when it bulks up. There is an amazing variety of subtle colours and single and double flowers that add so much to gardens in… https://t.co/GCdBGHhJkr
Poppy is today’s helper(?). Sniffing out mikes and comes. Following a tangling incident last year I’ve made sure that the support netting is at a height she can get under. Not managed to train her to keep off the beds. Any tips gratefully received.

Not expecting too many likes for this photo but I’d been wondering what was setting off the mouse traps and not getting caught. I should have known! This slug was unlucky! Not the most effective slug control in the world but at least there is one less no… https://t.co/X3sUhjbdJU
This evergreen clematis puts on a lovely show in March. It’s a bit unruly but can cope with hacking back after flowering. Never tried it as a cut flower. Would be interested to know if anyone else has.
