Amen. By the NBA calling out the Jazz “Star” players they’re essentially saying, we see some players as better than others. This isn’t about basketball, it’s about selling a product, so ‘we the NBA want to manipulate the Jazz to play who we think is there best players.’ Are these regular conversations with the NBA and its teams? Do they call coaches after a lose and tell them who they think they should have played instead? In my mind the NBA has hurt themselves more with this action than helping.
Were the Jazz tanking, obviously. Did they do it in a way that was worse than making up injuries or resting players? At least fans got to see 3 quarters with the “Star” players.
The NBA has a serious problem, but it is not the Jazzs fault, it’s the current draft system and EVERY team is guilty of trying to manipulate the NBAs broken system.
The NBA statement basically says the NBA sees certain players as better than others and should be treated differently. Tell me that they don’t tell the same thing to their refs. #Rigged@NBATV@NBA
@DPGSpurs@StitesOnRangers@RyanQualtrics The Jazz played their best players for 3 quarters and people got their moneys worth. Much better the not showing up at all.
@StitesOnRangers@RyanQualtrics The point is the NBA should not question a coaches decisions.
Of course the Jazz were purposely tanking, but at least those people who paid to see the game got to see the best players for at least 3 quarters. Much better then “Rest days” or “Abdominal cramps”
The NBA just admitted there are star players on each team who should be treated differently than other players on the team! You just admitted the games are rigged!
So it’s better to pretend players are sick or injured and not play them at all? What about the arguement that it gives your young players the ability to learn and grow in those situations! Also, they NBA just admitted there are star players who should be treated differently then other players on there team!
Analysis of the Jazz's trade for Jaren Jackson Jr by the Hoop Collective. Key takeaways:
-Smart "pre-agency" move by the Jazz
-If UTA gets Darryn Peterson or one of these other talents, "there is no ceiling" and will be "awfully fun for a long time." Core is all young
-Keyonte George's growth was huge and changed things. Many felt UTA would be a major suitor for Austin Reeves
-Bontemps loves the fit. High level acquisition that improves frontcourt flexibility
-pairing Jackson w/ Kessler is smart in a Western Conference full of star bigs
-Having two of the top 5 or 6 rim-protectors will dramatically clean up Utah's defensive issues
-UTA will have competition to keep their pick. They feel it ultimately will
-Walker Kessler free agency will "not be a fun, cozy experience." There is a difference in $$ from the two sides. They feel UTA will keep him
-the 2031 pick (a "ridiculous trade" by the Suns) was a big key. So great move by UTA
