Our friendship started as two Yijing geeks meeting in cyberspace, not because of his comics or Fortean Times career. Through him I got to befriend Alan Moore. We both got to write his obituary in Fortean Times, Alan talking about his life long friendship with Steve and me talking about Steve's contributions to the field of Yixue. He's still dearly missed.
